Black Warrior River

The Black Warrior, Tombigbee, and Mobile Rivers together are refered to as the Black Warrior and Tombigbee Waterway. Mile zero of the waterway is at Bankhead Tunnel in Mobile, AL. Mile 217 is at the mouth of the Black Warrior river where it converges with the Tombigbee river. Near Birmingham, AL, above mile 385, the Black Warrior forks. One Fork is called the Mulberry Fork, the other is named the Locust Fork.

I have not purchased newer charts than the 1978 book I currently own. The data below comes from this book, and if it needs modification, or additional data, that will have to come later. Right now, river journeys are being planned on the Black Warrior, and any information I can present here may provide them with a safer and better planned trip.
