Construction of a pontoon sternwheeler by a gentleman in Tennessee

To me, this is an extraordinary group of photographs taken at different times by different people on different cameras and in different sizes. The first step was to normalize them to a common size, which I chose to be 1024 x 768. Rather than attempt to send all the photos in numerous emails, this program was created to present them via links arranged by date and significance. Some are really good quality pics, some are not. They begin with the purchase of a used 1979 Harris 28 Float-Bote from a guy in Smithville, TN. The builder then purchased a new center pontoon in Missouri. Most construction questions are answered when you view all these photos in sequence. A lot of work and thought went into this boat. The engine is an air-cooled Hatz 3M41Z, 3 cylinder, 30 to 57 hp depending on rpm, made in Germany, build date 11/99. The first part of this engines life was spent running the builders saw mill. Worth the viewing.
